We had dinner 4 times there on the pub side and enjoyed each of the meals, especially the lamb shank. Good and friendly service. Definitely recommend.
Testimonials
It was a cold and wet day in Roundstone so we were delighted to wander into O’ Dowds for some lunch.
The front bar was full but we were promptly shown to a table in the other part of O’Dowds. Menus were presented and a drinks order taken. The menu has a large variety. We opted for the seafood chowder and the smoked salmon salad.
Shortly, two beautiful brown scones arrived at our table followed by our order. The portion of smoked salmon was large and very tasty, I think it might be Connemara smokehouse salmon. It was beautiful. The chowder was creamy with great flavour and piping hot.
O’Dowds was very busy for a November Saturday and one can see why. Service is very efficient and the food extremely tasty. A welcome stop off in a beautiful village.
Our bill including one pint and two minerals came to Eur 23.40.
