The last time we were in Ireland was 23 years ago. Our youngesr daughter took her first steps on Dog beach. Over the years we have often said we would like to return and in Oct 2012 my wife and I did.

We spent one of the best weeks ever in Cashel, visited O’Dowds three times and on each visit we were not disapointed. The staff, food and service were exellent and the Guiness was the best I have tasted since the last time we were in Ireland.
We felt we had come home.

Will we be returning? Oh yes and we will not wait another 23 years. A huge thank you to all at O’Dowds.

This smallish pub is the real thing. Built over a century ago, the proprietors have maintained the original pub without change. Walk in and be The Quiet Man.

We ordered fish and chips. The fish comes off the dock across the street. Excellent! Beer – a frothy Guinness, of course! Tie pub is located in the small village of Roundstone on the Atlantic coast. The setting is extremely picturesque. So far, our best experience on this visit to Ireland.
